Meet Dyn O Mite, a Blue Point Birman from Columbia, SC.

Dyn O Mite is a loving, cuddly cat who thinks his owner should wait on him hand and foot.  Because of this, his owner says if he was a human he’d be a king or prince since he loves to order everyone around.

If a movie were to be made about Dyn O Mite’s life, Paul Newman would play him because both he and Dyn O Mite have beautiful blue eyes.

This Blue Point Birman loves Cheerios, playing fetch, and swimming in the water.  If he was in high school, he would be voted “Class Clown” because he’s always coming up with something new to play with and different ways to get his owner’s attention.

AKC Meet the Breeds Gets 107 Honorary Chairpersons!

NY Senate Majority Leader and Temporary Senate President Dean Skelos and Rocky.

More than 100 lawmakers in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut have shown their support for responsible pet ownership by signing on as Honorary Chairpersons for AKC Meet the Breeds^®.

We thank these tri-state legislators for demonstrating their commitment to responsible pet ownership!  Their support serves as a great example for the pet-owning constituents in their local community.

Several honorary chairpersons will be at the event to sign the AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Pet Promise. The Pet Promise petitions America’s pet owners to remind them of everything that is required to be a responsible owner.

Beaumont’s Keys to a Relaxing Life

Meet Beaumont, a happy-go-lucky Belgian Tervuren from Wallingford, CT.

Beaumont is one friendly Belgian Tervuren.  His owner says he is a social butterfly because he has to meet and “talk” to everyone he sees, including other dogs.

His needs are simple; Beaumont’s morning begins with a belly rub as his owner comes downstairs.  He closes his eyes and falls back to sleep until the rub is over.  His favorite evening pastime is to sit on top of his hill and survey his domain.  Sounds like a good way to start and end the day.

Meet Marconi: The Next Mayor of NYC

Meet Marconi, a Spinone Italiano from New York, NY.

Marconi is an incredibly sensitive and sweet dog who does therapy work with his owner, Cooper Lawrence.  Because of his work at hospitals, if Marconi were human he would definitely be a doctor.  According to Cooper, he thinks he’s one already!  If anyone sneezes, Marconi comes running over to help.

Marconi has so many friends that if he were in high school, he would have been voted “Most Popular.”  Not only does he have human and canine friends, he has a few feline friends too!  Cooper says Marconi is like the mayor of his neighborhood.

Meet Bronco Billy, an English Setter and son of Mustang Sally, from Milford, CT.

While Bronco Billy may be his name, Mr. Congeniality is what he’d have been voted in high school due to his friendly outlook.  According to his owner, his soft, kind eyes can brighten anyone’s day!
